Unnoticed... By Anyone

Unnoticed... By Anyone
By Gloria Faye Brown Bates/aka Granny Gee
On a hilltop a little flower grew
Unnoticed by anyone... no one ever came there
It weathered every storm that came a long
The little flower never knew its beauty
Nor ever knew its strength... it just was
A little flower growing there, on the hilltop
Sometimes, it was beaten down by hail, wind, rain
It would bounce back up... unnoticed by anyone
The little flower never knew how special it was...
A lot of flowers would have given up
Laid down, died on the ground it grew upon
Unnoticed... by anyone
This little flower was a determined little flower
It knew enough to want to survive every storm
Live, it was going to... no matter what
It lived to soak up the warm sunshine, rain
It blossomed into pure beauty
As it grew there on the hilltop... unnoticed by anyone
